An almost deamicising title for an evening that recounts Annalisa and Enrico's trip to Peru  between pueblos and mountains, with the great history of the Inca ruins, the city of Cusco and Arequipa, 'La Ciudad Blanca', the former a Unesco heritage site since 1983 and the latter since 2000.

BUGIANEN 2015
Here we are at the third appointment in the Bugianen programme of the CAI - Italian Alpine Club, Biella section, but really at the second. We therefore anticipate that the first evening on Cape Verde will be rescheduled for 12 March.

On 5 March at 9 p.m. at the Città Studi Auditorium in via Pella 2/b, we will present
...From the Andes to the Apennines
"A tale of travel through mountains and cities from Peru to Italy
"
by Annalisa Chiorino and Enrico Dal Prà

An almost deamicising title for an evening that recounts Annalisa and Enrico's journey in Peru between pueblos and mountains, with the great history of the Inca ruins, the city of Cusco and Arequipa, 'La Ciudad Blanca', the former a Unesco heritage site since 1983 and the latter since 2000.
Over the many years of images presented, we have learnt that mountain landscapes everywhere have a common denominator: the harsh lifestyle, a certain isolation, but the great beauty of being in contact with nature.
Hence the connection with the Apennine landscapes and the small villages of our rural Italy, with little-known realities and evidence of ancient farming civilisations. The paths along the mountains allow for satisfying hikes, even if the heights are limited.
Since we have taken our inspiration for the title from the book 'Cuore' (Heart), we will also give this evening a humanitarian slant, hosting representatives of Operazione Mato Grosso who will present the 'Adopt a Shelter' project. Many people are familiar with the meritorious work of OMG and Father Hugo, thanks to the activities of Ernesto Maggioni and his collaborators in our area.

We would like to be able to give a little something big. We would like to be able to give a little big help and we hope, also on this occasion, to have the confirmation of the generosity of the Bugianen public.

We look forward to seeing you, as usual, in great numbers and happy to share the emotions of the journey as told by some of our members.
