On Sunday morning, the Sprint Race of the Scarpa ISMF World Cup circuit took place at the Biathlon Centre in Martello (Bolzano - Italy). The Organising Committee set up a very technical and challenging course that satisfied the athletes and especially the spectators, who could follow the progress of the race from the start and finish area.

The first to start were the youngsters in the junior categories. After the qualifying stages, Giulia Compagnoni, Alba De Silvestro, Laura Balet Caixach, Marianne Fatton, Lena Bonnel and Una Forchthammer found themselves in the final. The Italian Giulia Compagnoni, not feeling the fatigue of Saturday's race, immediately started to pull the group along, in the technical section to be tackled on foot with skis in the rucksack, the outrunner already had a reassuring lead. At the turn of the buoy, the Italian made no mistakes and flew towards the finish line, stopping the clock at 4'00''. In second place with a 3'' delay was Swiss Marianne Fatton, the podium was completed by Frenchwoman Lena Bonnel.
In the men's field, Davide Magnini, Simon Bellabouvier, Thomas Corthay, Swann Juillaguet, Valentino Bacca and Pietro Canclini lined up at the starting line of the final. Immediately after the gunshot it was Davide Magnini who took the initiative, behind him the Frenchman Bellabouvier and Corthay. Magnini held the first position until the last change where Thomas Corthay, taking advantage of a mistake made by Magnini when taking the skins off his skis, came out of the pitch first. The Swiss gritted his teeth and made no mistakes on the downhill, crossing the finish line with a time of 3'08''. Magnini confirmed his second position with just two seconds behind, while Bellabouvier was third with 3'15''.
After the flower ceremony for the Junior categories, the gates opened for the Seniors. The qualifying and the two semi-finals brought the two Germans Rottmoser and Lautenbacher, Robert Antonioli, Yannick Ecoeur, Nadir Maguet and Marcel Marti into the final. In the last round Rottmoser immediately took the lead, behind him World Champion Robert Antonioli seemed to be in trouble and climbed to between fourth and fifth position, behind Rottmoser were then Lautenbacher and Ecoeur. In the stretch at the foot, as usual, Robert Antonioli put the turbo into gear and gained second position. At the last change Rottmoser came out of the pitch first with a small margin that allowed him to put the gold medal around his neck with a time of 3'26''. Antonioli confirmed his second position with only five seconds behind. Toni Lautenbacher completed the podium with 3'37''.
The women in the Senior category advanced directly to the semifinals after the qualifying rounds. They led Elena Nicolini, Laetitia Roux, Emelie Forsberg, Malene Haukøy, Melanie Bernier and Martina Valmassoi to the final.
The two races were held in the final. It was clear from the first seconds of the race that only France's Laetitia Roux could win this World Cup race. For the second position there was a beautiful sporting battle between Emelie Forsberg and Elena Nicolini. Roux crossed the finish line with a time of 3'43''. Behind her, Italy's Nicolini, demonstrating mental and athletic lucidity, managed to get the better of Sweden's Forsberg. Nicolini finished in 3'54'' while Forsberg stopped the clock in 3'57''.
In the Espoir category Nadir Maguet and Marta Garcia Farres won.
The Scarpa ISMF World Cup circuit will return at the end of March, from 27 to 29 March on the Italian snow of Prato Nevoso (CN).
