New edition of the map covering the south-west valleys of the Aosta Valley: Valgrisenche and Val di Rhêmes.
The map describes on a scale of 1:25,000 the trails of two very interesting valleys in the Aosta Valley hiking panorama and, compared to the previous edition, also includes the western slope of Valsavarenche: a noteworthy addition because it allows one to traverse the Val di Rhêmes on a single sheet.
The recent surveys have supplemented the previous ones carried out in 2003 and 2004 by integrating the new trail works carried out in the area, starting with the Alta Via 2, which has undergone variations in Valgrisenche. All this makes the map a precious tool for the hiker who wants to discover the peculiarities of these territories: from Rutor to [[Punta Basei]], passing also through the valley bottom, rich in little-known but very fascinating routes.
Recent surveys have also made it possible to trace new long-distance routes such as the Haute Route des Glaciers (HRG) and Via Alpina, both of which have recently been implemented in the area.
As usual, the map is accompanied by the U.T.M. grid, which allows it to be used with GPS, a tool now widely used by hikers. This map also has the advantage of being updated thanks to the collaboration of the local Alpine Guides: the Société des Guides de Valgrisenche.
Finally, in its new guise, it also brings with it a booklet containing three itineraries spread over several days: the Balcony of Valgrisenche, between Val di Rhêmes and Valsavarenche, and the Haute Route Glaciale.
Nothing more remains to be said... happy hiking!
