Description

A daring mountain pass linking the Valcornera valley, in the municipality of Bionaz, with the scree-covered plateaus surrounding the Perucca-Vuillermoz mountain hut in the municipality of Valtournenche. The pass appears as a deep depression on the rocky ridge running from the Punte di Fontanella to Punta Tsan.
The pass, which was fairly well-used in the past, has lost some of its importance as a link between Valpelline and Valtournenche, whilst remaining the most direct route between the two valleys.
In recent years, it has once again become a popular route thanks to the Tour du Cervin, which sees cyclists passing through here every year
