Introduction

It is an old building on the Alpe di Prato restored by SAT Ritom and is located in a marvellous basin on the edge of the larch and fir forest, protected by the superb peaks of Poncione di Sambuco and Tremorgio and by Pizzi Massari and Sassello. The view sweeps towards the Gotthard massif and the Piora region, reminding the hiker that he is on the Via delle Genti, which has always been rich in history and legend. Thanks to its geographic location, it can also be reached with sealskins until spring. During the summer season, traverses to other huts in the region are popular.
