Trieste Tower

Introduction

On the south face, the VIA DONNAFUGATA was traced. Mayan Smith-Gobat (New Zealand) together with David Falt (Sweden) made the third free ascent of the Donnafugata route on Torre Trieste, Civetta, Dolomites. 750 metres of route with difficulties up to 8a, climbed from the bottom in a single 32-hour session, without bivouac gear, on 19 and 20 July 2012 . Opened by Christoph Hainz and Roger Schäli in 2004, then freed by Mauro Bole in 2007. Many mountaineers have traced routes up the Tower. Some of them are: Cassin, Ratti, Tissi, Redaelli, Piussi.
