The Cross of Fai della Paganella
Access
By car, you must arrive in the village of Fai della Paganella: via the Santel pass from Andalo and with the Sp 235 from the Trento area.
.Introduction
The vantage points on this route are many and well worth a visit.
Description
You leave your car not far from the Fontana Bianca, just beyond Fai della Paganella 940 m. We ascend along the Scalace path (wide but a little exposed). You arrive at the Scalace pass, where you climb to the left into the forest. The Croce del Fai: this is a spectacular viewpoint overlooking the Adige Valley, which can be reached by deviating from the track to the left in 1' (1465 m). After the break, return to the wide forest track and then take the turnoff that descends to Fai, which is a little steep. There is a nice view of the village below and you come out at the beginning of the village (hamlet of Cortalta). Instead of following a path through the forest, you choose to walk through the village until you reach the car again.
All in all: good day x weather - difference in altitude, almost 550 m - Dif. E for approx. 3h30 Total (1h45 and 1h45 ret. and 1h45 ret.) + breaks to see the sights
Average ride comfort: good
